Becoming a Member of Progress Theatre gives you the opportunity to become fully active in Progress Theatre's activities, including: - Acting on-stage

- Producing shows
- Operating lights, sound or special effects
- Designing the lighting

- Serving behind the bar
- Running the box office
- Building a set

Join The Friends of Progress Theatre! Friends of Progress provide invaluable support through attending performances and optionally helping in the theatre's many activities. Being a Friend of Progress gives you: A warm welcome into live theatre at Progress Newsletters to keep you informed of the news or plans at the theatre and the Season’s programme An Annual Gala and Social Evening to attend a Production, together with Acting members, friends and family Invitations to special events at Progress Theatre The opportunity, if you wish, to help in practical ways such as: Front of House, Bar or Box Office staffing, costumes, set building and promoting the theatre and its shows A Friend's annual subscription is only £10.00. Writer's Group
Progress Theatre Writers’ Group
Progress Theatre has a Writers’ Group that provides an environment for aspiring writers to meet and discuss their ideas and their work. The group meets monthly to read plays written by the members and provide constructive feedback and support. Plays are also submitted for staging in the Theatre, and are regularly performed.
